BraceX is a network of Brace Expert Physiotherapists that take care of all things bracing. If you think your patient may benefit from a brace but you don't have the time or resources available, refer your patient to BraceX and we'll link your patient up with a Brace Expert who will take care of everything from bracing assessment through fitting.

How does it work?

Everything begins when a health care professional refers their patient to BraceX. Patients are then contacted and scheduled with a Brace Expert for a Bracing Assessment. The Bracing Assessment involves any necessary subjective or objective assessment components as a normal assessment, with the addition of specific measurements at different locations around the affect body part. Once all information is gathered, the patient may be fit with the brace that the Brace Expert identified as the best option. If the brace needs to be ordered or if a custom brace is indicated, the patient will attend a Brace Fitting appointment at a later date when the brace is available.

What is a Brace Expert?

Simply put, a Brace Expert is a Physiotherapist who is an expert at bracing. Physiotherapists have a robust knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy in addition to exceptional assessment skills. With additional training on bracing combined with resources provided by BraceX, a Physiotherapist becomes a Brace Expert.

What is the role of a Brace Expert?

A Brace Expert is responsible for filling out our customized Bracing Assessment Forms, ordering braces, fitting braces on patients and educating them on use. Essentially everything that has to be done in person with the patient is the role of the Brace Expert, and everything else is taken care by BraceX to make the role of a Brace Expert as streamlined as possible.

What is the role of BraceX?

BraceX takes care of everything on the backend to streamline the workflow for Brace Experts. We have created a custom, automated Bracing Platform that Brace Experts utilize to track the progress of their patients, complete pre-filled form such as prescriptions, estimates, brace requests, invoices and more, while automatically updating the referring health care professional on their patients progress until bracing has been completed. And, unlike other websites with hundreds of brace options making it difficult to know which is best, we have curated a selection of the best braces from different suppliers and are constantly exploring alternatives according to what Brace Experts require to get the job done.
